“Our hope in starting Journey was that it would make a difference in our community,
and around the world, and the Generosity Project is a big step in that direction.
I’m proud of our church and I’m amazed at what God is doing!” — Lead Pastor Jim Clayton
Part of the DNA of Journey Church is to cultivate a culture of generosity, not just for our church, but for our community and our world. The purpose of the Generosity Project to help people in our church, in our community and in our world who need help. We raise money and collect clothing, school supplies, food and other items to give away to people who need it, inside and outside our church. On February 22, 2015 we gave a check for $9,000 to the Interchurch Food Pantry to help people in our community. We also support the drilling of fresh water wells in Africa for villages that have never had fresh water through World Hope International (WHI). Additionally, we give 10% of our general offering to support church planting in other areas.
