Could you be the one we're looking for?

Pastor Jim and his wife Jodi started Journey Church in 2008 as a Bible study in a living room. After a year of preparation, we launched in September 2009  and after years of meeting in rented spaces, we moved into our 15,000 permanent facility in 2021. Post-Covid, we are seeing a steady flow of new people attending Journey and getting connected. Since we started, over 214 people have put their faith in Christ and we’ve baptized 209, with thirteen more baptisms scheduled for Easter Sunday. 39 parents have participated in Child Dedications with 43 children. Our church has given away over $225,000 in generosity to help people in our community and worldwide. Great things are happening and it’s a good time to join the Team at Journey!

These are ministry positions, not just jobs. If you're only looking for a paycheck, this is not the place for you. Our mission is to help people find and follow Christ, and when you join the staff at Journey, that's your mission, too. If you're looking for a ministry position where you'll have the opportunity to make a difference, we'd love to hear from you! You'll find descriptions of our open positions below.

Worship Leader/Worship Arts Director/Pastor

We are seeking our next Worship Leader/Worship Arts Director/Pastor to lead the dedicated people on our Music and Tech teams. Listed below are some of the requirements and expectations for this position.

Eligible candidates should
  • be a committed follower of Christ who is growing in their faith.

  • be committed to the Mission and Vision of Journey Church (https://journeychurch.net/mission-and-vision).
  • be in agreement with our Values and Beliefs (https://journeychurch.net/values-beliefs).
  • have experience leading worship in a casual, contemporary church setting.
  • be familiar with various tech used in worship settings, including projection, sound, lighting, video, and live streaming.
  • be humble and make worship about glorifying God and Jesus, not yourself.

Responsibilities and expectations
  • Lead, serve, and shepherd members of the Music Team and Tech Team.
  • Recruit new members from inside and outside the church.
  • Although this is a part-time position, you must be “all in,” which means you are working to grow your teams, grow the church, and grow God’s kingdom.
  • Meet with Pastor Jim weekly.
  • Participate in monthly Leadership Team lunches.
  • Participate in church events.
  • Select songs each week and set them up on the computer for Sunday.

  • you are highly proficient with Propresenter, Vista, Ultrastream, Streamdeck and/or Atem Television Studio HD.
  • you have experience producing and editing videos for use in church and on social media.
