Small Groups

As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.
Proverbs 27:17
Getting into a small group or a class is a great way to get connected.  In a small group, you’ll get together with ten to twenty people from Journey on a weekly or every-other-week basis to learn and grow together.  You’ll make some friends, and your small group will the people who are there for you when you’re going through life’s ups and downs.  Classes are usually a one-meeting learning opportunity to equip you for life.

We have several small groups that meet on different nights around town.

SMALL GROUP FAQ

Q:  What is a small group?

A:  A small group is a group of ten to twenty people getting together every week, or every other week, to connect, study together and encourage each other.

Q:  Will I be called on to talk or pray out loud?

A:  Absolutely not!  We train our small group facilitators NOT to called on people, because we d0n’t want anyone to be put on the spot.  Your participation is voluntary.  We want our groups to be comfortable and non-threatening for everyone.

Q:  Do you offer childcare?

A:  We want everyone to have access to small groups.  Some groups offer childcare, while others do not.  Let us know if you need childcare.

Q:  What if I don’t like my group?

A: Although it doesn’t happen often, it is always possible that the first group you try won’t be a good fit.  You are free to exit a group at any time.  If that happens, let us know and we’ll help you find a group that will work for you.
